Jack Lockton Certificate in Insurance and Risk Management provides new scholarships for students

Students in the Jack Lockton Certificate in Insurance and Risk Management now have new annual scholarship opportunities thanks to industry partners.

Each scholarship is $2,500 and are open to seniors enrolled in the certificate program with a minimum GPA of 3.25. Students can apply for the scholarships between Oct. 1–18 with funds being distributed the following semester.

Industry partners:

  • Aetna Insurance and Risk Management Scholarship
  • Chubb Insure the Future Scholarship
  • Kansas Insurance & Financial Services Education Foundation Scholarship
  • Security Benefit Scholarship

The certificate is open to undergraduate business majors. It combines 12 credit hours of required and elective coursework that provides students for future career in underwriting, claims, agency and brokerage, risk management and more. Students also get first-hand experience with Lockton Companies, Aetna, Chubb, Security Benefit Life and other industry partners where they see their classroom concepts applied to the real world and have opportunities to network.

These scholarships will serve to further advance our mission to raise awareness among students of the enormity of opportunities that await in the insurance industry and to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to launch their careers.”
