The School of Business’ student-run Mental Health Advocacy Board will host Wellness Week from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. The event will focus on the importance of mental health as a student and professional and will connect students with resources available to them on and off campus.

“We feel that it is important to have a Wellness Week in the School of Business because often we don’t take the time to discuss the topic of mental health, and sometimes it is difficult to know how to use the resources available to us,” said Rebecca Santillan, a representative from the organization.

Events will include two panels and a resource fair. The first panel will be made up of recent graduates who will discuss the importance of mental health as a student and intern. The second panel of professionals will focus on what companies do to promote mental health and work-life balance.

The resource fair will include free taco boxes for students who visit two or more tables.

MHAB hopes to start a conversation around mental health and bridge the gap between students and resources they may need. To learn more about this and future events, follow @mhab.ku on Instagram.
